First of all, you have to cook Italian dough and keep it cool and use it after one day ,then knead it well and divide it into three portions, add yellow oil paint in dough and knead it well with hands
until mix completely, then add a drop of orange oil paint in small amount of dough and knead it well then add small amount of black oil paint in some dough and mix it well.If you dont know how to make Italian dough then click here for the recipe

Body

Take some portion of yellow dough and make a ball with your hands its size should be about 2 cm this will make tweety,s head. For the body make an oval shape with your hands using a large portion of yellow dough ,its size should be about 4 cm.

Face

To make the eyes take small amount of black dough and shape it like a tiny balls , make two small balls in same size .these are our tweety's eyes. Let them dry.For the beak cut a diamond shape from the orange flattened dough (shown in the 3rd picture)

Now flatten yellow and orange dough with the roller to make the wings feet and beak of tweety!

Upcycled Soda bottle dessert packs

Happy Eid Milad-un-Nabi every one (the birth day of our beloved and last Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H according to the lunar calender).
In Pakistan its a common practice to make or buy sweets to share with the neighbors ,friend and family on such special religious occasions .Usually people take these goodies to others either in some platters or dishes they own or in market bought disposable containers but both have some draw backs the Platters and dishes has to be returned so the receiver has to go through the trouble of emptying and washing them before returning and the disposable containers don't have to be returned but hear in Pakistan their rates are considerably high so to avoid these problems why not we up-cycle some thing that we all have in abundance and they usually end up in our trash cans YES you got me right i am talking about empty soda Bottles!

HOW TO

to make these you need 1.5 litter or 2.25 litter soda bottles remove the label and cut them app 3 inch below the the mid line .you can easily cut these with precision knives or scissors,

now cut the rim 6 times horizontally making six equal flaps (roughly 4 to 5 inches deep) be-careful with the depth of the cuts they all should be equal.

now at this stage fill up your container slightly below the lower edge of your flaps I am using the semolina desert in them (recipe available here) ,now comes the fun part start to fold the flaps inwards and create a crease by pressing it hard with your fingers

continue to do that with every next flap

in the end you will end up with a hexagon on the top of your container add some embellishment on the top like a ribbon Bow or some fabric flower ,over here i am using 3 different types of tissue paper roses is peach and light purple colour ....the camera is not doing justice with the colours in the indoor lights:(

That's it your up cycled soda bottle containers are all ready to be presented to your dear ones , so for the next time plan ahead and save some soda bottles for an occasion ,these would work great for the Birthday Party favors too :) .enjoy

Instant bag organizer Tutorial

Hi friends today i will share one of my fresh inspired creation that is my favorite so far and the amount of convenience it provides me is so so so great.

A 24 pockets changeable HAND BAG organizer (12 pockets outside and 12 inside with a large opening in the middle)
once you have done all the stuffing just pick it up and place it in side your hand bag.
OK first thing is first i have to give the credit to whom i got this idea from

The Kangaroo keeper

I saw this advertisement in one of the blogs (planet Weidknecht) i am following and i was totally mad to see this and wanted it so bad and its not very expensive either but i live in pakistan and its a long procedure to buy online stuff here:( any how here's my version and i name it the
instant bag organizer :)
hope you like it and its not difficult at all

things you need
  • 1 yard fabric will be enough
  • scissors
  • sewing machine
  • heavy duty machine needles

OK now to make a large instant organizer cut the fabric according to the above image (you may change the size according to your needs)
  • 2 squares 15"x 15"
  • 4 rectangles of 12"x 15"
  • iron and fold all of these in half

iron and fold the long sides of the rectangles half an inch towards the wrong side
to create a false seem

now sandwich the larger floded piece in between the 2 smaller folded rectagles in such a way that its about 2 inches higher then the base line and about 1 inch lower then the upper edge . Keep the open sides of the smaller rectangles at the lower side so that it will come at the base of the pockets .Pin and secuer this

now mark the lines of the pockets to be sewn i made 4 large pockets and two 1.5 inch narrow pockets at each end .Its all up to you you may decrease or increase the number of pockets you need ,just be care full that the pockets on the extermities should be narrow as they will come in the width of the bag use them for thin objects as pencils lipsticks, eye pencils, nail cutters e.t.c mark one side and the back side's pockets will be formed automatically ;)

now stitch along the marked lines and at the base of the smaller rectangle to seal the lower edge of the pockets .make the other side just the same way and sew them together from the sides and the base and leave the mouth open .

stuff your fingers in the corners and make a diagonal stitch between the fingers as shown above this is the distance that will cover the two narrow 1.5 inch pockets (total length covered 3 inches between the fingers)

sew and cut off the extra corner .

turn the inside out and you are all done ,good to stuff in !well what ever you want ,you name it and you will have a pocket for it :)

it took me only an hour to make this and i love it .ENJOY

Pillow case dress Refashion tutorial

Hi friends how are you all ,today i will show you how to reshape a simple pillow case dress into a cute ruffly frock

Well the story starts from the day when i made a long pillow case dress for my elder daughter but she some how didnt like it a bit and totaly refused to wear it :(
so i asked her that can this be given to her younger sis and she gladly agreed now the dress was pretty long for the younger one so i decided to do some thing interesting with it thats how i cut it

remember that its a prepared dress with a back so i am showing you the cutting from the front and we aill automatically get the back parts

the shourlder ruffles pieces are trimmed to have a scalloped shape

The neck line is prepared by using a bias tape and shulder ruffels are attached to the body and the lower skirt is pleated and attached to the prepared body .

thats it all done now i just added a big ribbon bow in the center of the body

mommy makes me soooooo mad with her camera at me :)

Now thats better mood :)

the back

fun with sis and cousins :)

BUT! the story does not end hear now my elder dauter is also in love with the transformed look of previously" her" pillow case dress and wants it back :( but now its too short for her .......(KIDS) .......... ! any how the fight got resolved on my promise to her that i will make a dress just like this for her in her choice of fabric and every one is happy :)
